Theatre Visits Group

The Theatre Visits Group is open to anyone interested in any of the events on offer. We attend all the well known Norwich theatres (5 in total) plus Sheringham Little Theatre and have been known to visit Cromer Pier Theatre. There is so much on offer that individuals choose performances that appeal to them. We attend ballet, dance, musicals, serious and comic plays. The initial choice is made monthly at a coffee morning held at the Village Hall annexe on the first Monday of the month from 10:00 to 11:30. This is open to anyone not just those with an interest in theatre. There is no club fee but those that have coffee or tea pay 50p for the Village Hall funds.

I make the bookings, pay for the tickets and eventually collect the money. I also arrange transport and we share the load. Some people do not drive. We have managed to accommodate everyone so far.
We have a nucleus of hard core theatregoers but a large group of interested people who go occasionally.

We also have a Play Reading Group. At the moment there are about ten of us who meet monthly, usually on the Monday afternoon of the theatre coffee morning, to enjoy this activity. This occurs in our own homes. We cannot expand much more but we are always interested to know of people who might like to be involved.

Likewise there is a Poetry Reading Group which meets monthly on a Wednesday morning usually at my home. We collectively decide on a theme or type of poem and try to find something to fit the bill. It does not matter if you cannot find anything. Some people like to try their hand at writing their own.
